The above pic comes courtesy of Mike Carroll (the guy behind the awesome badger software) and at first glance doesn’t seem that big a deal. That is of course till you remember that they dont actually make these types of annuals for 2000AD any more and the above is all computer generated.
They do the oversized xmas editions (and I’ll be reading mine this lunchtime), but not the old style hardbacks as obviously theres no room for them on Tesco’s bookshelves between the X-Factor and Man Utd annuals…. don’t start me.
Anyway, really nice pic, even if it has gotten half the 2000AD forum members feeling a little sad and nostalgic.
They should bring out retro-fit annual style hardcovers to fit over the end of year specials, and sell them in the 2000ad online shop, EVERYBODY misses annuals!!!
