Issue 380 of long running sci-fi mag Starburst is now available with two seperate Dredd covers, the one by Ian Welch I’ve posted above.
Full details on how to get this are over on their website HERE, but here’s the mag’s blurb :
In this month’s issue…
…we celebrate the return of Judge Dredd to our cinema screens by sitting down with Dredd 3D writer/producer Alex Garland and star Lena Headey; explore the legacy of the lawman with an exclusive interview with his creators, John Wagner, Carlos Ezquerra, Pat Mills & Alan Grant; a guide to the character’s essential comic book arcs, and a Starburst ‘Flashback’ to 1995 to revisit our infamous chat with Danny Cannon, director of the much derided first big-screen outing! / Also: Interviews with [REC] Genesis writer/director and series creator Paco Plaza; Doctor Who, Torchwood, Primeval and now Cockneys Vs Zombies screenwriter James Moran; War of the Worlds’ Jeff Wayne, comic book collective 44FLOOD and Sherlock Holmes novelist Guy Adams / ‘The Resident Evil Case Files’, our comprehensive two-part look at the successful horror franchise’s history / Eyes Without a Face retrospective / Monomania part 7 / Bond at Fifty / + all your favourite columns, news, reviews and much more from the world of sci-fi, horror & fantasy…

Cool about the include, but I’m sorry that’s a shockingly bad cover!
That cover is utterly dreadful, no pun intended. And why is he holding a Stallone lawgiver?
I’m presuming they couldn’t get the rights to a photo or something and did an airbrush job? Truly awful (can’t bring myself to use ‘that’ pun)
They actually have a second variant cover, which is a photo. Go figure.
That boil’s my piss. X( Absolutely shite.
Was Blow-Joe involved in this?
Also, I didn’t know Starbust was still going…
He wielding Stallone’s gun and has a bit of shit on his lip.
I thought for sure this must be some kind of fanzine from looking at that cover. Imagine my shock to learn that it is a major sci-fi publication. Who would publish such a thing willingly?
Wow. Nice to see them letting the work experience kid have a go at creating their own cover
I agree it looks like something Judge Chinychinchin drew!
Obviously the Lawgiver is unbelievable, seeing as we knew what the Dredd Lawgiver looks like for over a year now but the following.
The helmet is positioned wrong on his head, just look at where his nose is!
The body armour is square on to us but the collar is at an angle, FUCKSAKE!!
SHIT, WANK, BOLLOCKS, FUCK, SHITE, TOSS, AAAAAARGH!
Well at least the helmet doesn’t look too big…..
