Written by me, drawn by Flint Lockjaw and with cover colours by Rob Jackson this is a dumb comic we did years ago that we’re putting up here rather than have it just gather dust.
If you can’t guess the tone from the cover it’s Tales from the Crypt via Viz so you should be able to work out from that if you’ll like it. As you’d expect from me and Flint the easily offended should give it a miss. Or Ms.
Anyway, hope those that do download it enjoy it. Please feel free to share the download link if ya do. I just re-read the thing for the first time in about three years and it’s still pretty funny.

Saw a lot of comments online yesterday about the announced remake of Escape From New York. What many seem to be missing though is, like The Thing before it, Carpenter’s Escape from New York was itself a remake of an earlier film. The Cary Grant thriller was made in 1949 which coincidentally is the same time gap, 32 years. between the 80s version and this new one.
Anyway, as long as they dont stunt cast some useless rapper in the lead role I’m cool with the remake. My special edition dvd of the Kurt Russell one ain’t going nowhere no matter how good or bad the new one is.
Whats this got to do with 2000AD? Sod all.
Sent in by Jason South, the cover to a Mad Magazine from 1995.
Did make me think though… if the studio had been insistent on Stallone’s face being visible for the majority of the movie, would a proper design like the one below have been more acceptable? Maybe throw in some bullshit about it being responsive to ambient lighting or something or go dark during shootouts and have some POV targetting overlayed.
Just a thought.
Anyway, cool pic. Cheers
As nicked from Jim Campbell on facebook who got it from the 2000AD forums who got it from… fuck knows.
Anyway, as someone who spends way more time laughing at the I Can Haz Cheezeburger app on his iphone than he should (the superhero section is always fun) this is brilliant
