This year’s Bristol Comic Expo (at its new venue of the Future Inn) is a pre-sale all-ticket event!! This means that there won’t be any tickets available on the door – so if you want to go. Also attending as Guests are: John-Paul Bove, Jon Davis-Hunt, Al Ewing, Henry Flint, Lee Garbett, Patrick Goddard, Colin MacNeil, Professor Elemental, David Roach, Dylan Teague, Lee Townsend, Alec Worley, Rob Williams (Saturday only), and Ben Willsher.
As for the panels – there’s International Special Guest interviews; 2000AD panels with some of the best current art and script droids; an entertaining talk on the Science of Superheroes, an audience with the creative team of Marvel’s LOKI: Agent of Asgard; a look at Cinebook & the European comics market; a comics quiz; a round-table on the Passion/Pain of the small press/indie publishing world; and an indie creators guide to structuring panel layouts. It’s not all about comics either – there’s also a freelance rap workshop from Dr Elemental; and panels on the art of the gaming industry; bringing Dr Who to the printed page; and a double bill of animation panels (exploring both Bristol’s contribution to the animation industry, and the UK industry as a whole) with a host of top UK industry professionals giving an insight into the animation industry – NOT to be missed by animation students and fans alike!
