From January 2004 to January 2005 those lucky commuters heading into London could grab new Judge Dredd tales to read on their way into the capital, for ‘free’. How? We hear you say, well, it was very easy, just pick up a copy of The Metro, as these tales were inside each copy.
These strips were written by David Bishop, Gordon Rennie, Simon Spurrier, Jamie Boardman and Tharg the Mighty. The art duties were shared between Inaki Miranda, Steve Roberts and Andy Clarke. The colourist Eva De La Cruz worked on the Inaki Miranda stories and the letterer on all the strips was Simon Parr.
The stories came in 5 part strips with one part revealed each weekday. Since then, many have been reprinted in the Judge Dredd Megazine, from issue 218 for a limited time. If only Rebellion would reprint these in paper form, even if it was in some sort of floppy, then all would be good with the world.
Here’s a small selection of those tales for you to enjoy and don’t forget to pester Tharg to publish these!
