It’s hard to know if this story is a lesson in border control or a thinly veiled attempt at controlling the rights of the individual to have something utterly deadly in the house. Regardless, shit is about to go down and only Judge Ross has the moral imperative to stop it. Oh wait, he’s on his way to Titan for gross incompetence. Hmmm, maybe Judge Dredd can look into this one instead…
John Wagner’s script is passable her and the art by Ron Smith serves it well.
WHAT’S IT ALL ABOUT (IN ONE SENTENCE)?:
The Judges crack down on the alien seeds threatening to become a citywide pest.
WHO’S THAT IN THE HELMET?:
Chief Judge Jurgen Griffin micromanages the situation.
ANY LAW LORE?:
Alien seeds are illegal in the Big Meg.
WHAT THE DROKK?:
Why hasn’t Chief Judge Griffin got more pressing matters to attend to and why is he explaining his policies to a robot?
Dredd has two Lawgivers (one in each boot), so where is he keeping his bootknife? Actually, let’s not ask…
Bizarrely the alien seeds on the space station are gigantic versions-what would be the point? Isn’t the market for the smaller ones? And why are they being allowed to get to the animal stage if they are (presumably) being farmed for seeds?
WHAT’S THE ART LIKE?:
The art is OK but the two guns Dredd thing does start to
HOW MANY LINKS?:
Another craze of the week story with not much else going on to get it above two links.
