Kidnapping is a serious offence. If it’s your wife or husband then it’s heartbreaking in the extreme. If it is one of your beloved pets then it can be just as bad as emotional connections to these are very real and very strong. If it’s a kid though, refuse to pay up every time. Look, you can probably have more if you want but each one of those thieves is a drain on the system so shrug your shoulders, count your blessings and go buy a hamster.
