Having driven in America, this is pretty much the way things go down when road rage takes over. Still, as a man who has his eye on the benefits of an electric vehicle, Orlok may one day have zero consideration for the petrolheads driving across post Trump ‘Murica in their souped up jalopies in search of Mother’s Milk. What a day! What a lovely day!
DATELINE?:
May 2105 (Prog 315).
WHO’S RESPONSIBLE?:
John Wagner and Alan Grant look into the dumbness that is the American driver and Ron Smith dials up the designs.
WHAT’S IT ALL ABOUT (IN ONE SENTENCE)?:
A disgruntled car buyer turns outlaw.
CANON FODDER?:
Dredd has a lawgiver in his left boot so presumably has two shooters again.
WHAT THE DROKK?:
The ladder reaching down from the H-Wagon is utterly impractical. How is it retracted? How does a person get on it from the cab?
All vehicles need to fuel- so much for Tesla. Fuck you, Musk.
It’s all too convenient that the ejected passenger lands on Dredd. Why have a passenger ejector seat at all? What would be the point of that?
When Dredd smashes through the roof he is holding the Lawgiver at an impossible angle.
WHAT’S THE ART LIKE?:
Dredd driving at a jaunty angle at one point, a typical artistic trope of Ron Smith. I don’t know what kind of grip Dredd has on his gun when he smashes through the roof of the bus but Ron Smith is consistently rubbish at this aspect in spite of all of his brilliance elsewhere.
HOW MANY LINKS?:
Two. A very thin premise of a story with only half decent art to drive it. It had a poor ending too, where Dredd lets the perp be flattened by a truck instead of executing him. Remember this is a jackass who has been shooting at him and put the lives of cits in danger.
